General FAQs
How much is the retainer and how do I pay?
There is a non refundable retainer of 50% to secure your photography experience. The balance is due 24 hours prior to your session. The final payment acts as confirmation of your arrival. The studio will send reminder emails for your convenience and we will notify you immediately if there are any variances. The Portrait Boutique accepts all major credit/debit cards and Apple Pay. The payment link will be included in the quote and will be valid until the expiration date of the quote. The date and time provided in the quote is tentative on the calendar until the retainer is paid. Payment plans are available upon request.
*Wedding retainers are discussed during the consultation and will vary depending on the wedding experience package selected.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
Standard expected timeline to receive final images for a standard session can range from 2-3 weeks. Proof (unedited) images are provided to the client for package selection 5 business days after session is complete. Retouched images are provided within 1-2 weeks of the client's final proofing selection date.
*Expedited fees of $75 and will be assessed upon request of images less than the specified timeline no exceptions. We strive to deliver our client's memories as promised and requests outside of the original timeline cause undesirable impacts to our existing client's timeline.
Can I have my raw images?
We do not release raw images under any circumstance. If you fall in love with your gallery, there is an option to purchase the full gallery. Please consult with the assistant after your session for further information.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based out of Jacksonville, Florida and open to travel. Travel fees based on the requested location will be included in your personalized quote.
What happens if I am late for my session?
In order to respect the time of other clients and the photographer, regardless of your arrival time, your session will end as scheduled. If you need to reschedule a session there is a $50 rescheduling fee assessed if the session is within 7 days of the scheduled session. You are only permitted to reschedule once otherwise you may forfeit your retainer. *Excludes maternity clients*
How will I receive my final images?
You will receive an online gallery link via email with your purchased photos within 2-3 weeks of your final proofing selection. You can download all the photos from the gallery, share with friends and family, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many photos will I receive?
The number of images are listed in the package descriptions. You will have the option to purchase additional digital images during your proofing window. Full gallery purchase options are available. The photographer never releases raw files under any circumstances.
Do you only provide in studio photography?
No, we provide on location photography as well! Choose a location or we can help choose one for you based on your vision.
What do basic edits include?
Basic retouches include: color/lighting correction. High end cosmetic retouching and composite editing such as adding a different background or special effects are not included as basic retouches. Never assume the photographer can just "edit it", always discuss your concerns first so there is a mutual agreement between you and the photographer.
How many people can I bring to my session?
Besides the individuals taking the photos, no additional people are permitted in the studio without prior permission due to the spike in flu and pneumonia cases.
Do you photograph Weddings and Events?
Absolutely! During the booking process, there is an option to book event photography. If you are looking for wedding photography, please select the custom option and I will reach out to you directly to discuss your needs and details about your upcoming special day. My goal is to provide a quote that will suit your needs and photography that will exceed your expectations!
What if I want to changes to my final images?
All image downloads are final. We encourage clients to thoroughly review their images before downloading. As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, you are entitled to one complimentary re-edit within 24 hours of receiving your images. Should you require additional edits, a fee of $25 per edit will apply.
To ensure the best possible outcome, we request that you communicate any insecurities or specific concerns upfront. This allows the photographer to adequately prepare for your session. If your request is not feasible, we will inform you prior to booking. If you make a mistake in your selection, the studio will not be held liable and you will be charged for any additional images you select.
Maternity FAQs
When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28-34 weeks when the baby bump is beautifully pronounced, and you're still comfortable enough for posing.
Do you provide wardrobe options for maternity sessions?
Yes! Our studio offers a beautiful client closet with a variety of maternity gowns, wraps, and robes available for your session at no additional cost. You’re also welcome to bring your own attire.
Do you offer professional makeup services?
Yes, we have a list of preferred makeup artists you can book directly after scheduling your session, or we can arrange a makeup artist for you for an added convenience fee.
How far in advance should I book my maternity session?
It's recommended to book your session at least 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak seasons.

How should I prepare for my maternity session?
Eat, stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and wear loose-fitting clothing beforehand to avoid skin marks. We'll send you a full prep guide before your session.
What if I feel self-conscious during my session?
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful! We'll guide you with flattering poses and expressions to ensure you feel your best.
